Precision Spline Shaft

Precision spline shafts are critical components in high-precision transmission systems. Spline modules range from 1 to 3 with tooth counts from 12 to 42, achieving accuracy Grades 5 to 7. Fits use H/h small clearance to ensure no noticeable rotational backlash during torque transmission. These shafts suit servo systems, precision reducers, and CNC equipment. Our setup technicians bring over a decade of spline machining experience, using specialized spline milling and grinding machines with strict control over tooth profile and lead accuracy.

Effective spline engagement lengths run 30 to 180 millimeters. Overall shaft length spans 100 to 600 millimeters with diameters from Φ15 to Φ70 millimeters. Geometric tolerance requirements are demanding: radial runout controls within 0.02 to 0.05 millimeters, and tooth lead parallelism controls within 0.015 to 0.04 millimeters. These two indicators directly determine spline pair contact uniformity and service life. If runout or parallelism exceeds limits, the spline experiences uneven wear and premature failure. We use professional gauges to inspect every parameter before shipment.

We use 42CrMo steel quenched and tempered to HB 240-280, with working surfaces hardened to HRC 50-56. 42CrMo offers excellent comprehensive properties, providing adequate core toughness after tempering and wear-resistant working surfaces after hardening. Our in-house heat treatment department performs both tempering and hardening processes with strictly controlled parameters.
